Hero's Journey

Grades 4-6
Embark on an epic Hero’s Journey! Travel from ordinary worlds into extraordinary adventures, just like Moana crossing the ocean, Percy Jackson on a quest, or Odysseus sailing home from Troy. Create original scenes filled with wise mentors, tricky villains, and brave heroes discovering their strength. Along the way, design props, backdrops, and basic costume pieces that bring your adventures to life. Discover how legendary stories are built through creativity, collaboration, and performance, then share the story of your own heroic journey with friends and family during an open sharing on the final day of class!
*Class will not meet on January 19th or February 16th due to federal holdiays.

Ready, set, act! In this fast-paced, high-energy acting class, students will create bold, bite-sized scenes inspired by the rhythm of TikTok and Reels — but everything is performed live. Through sketch sprints, character games, and 60-second scenes, learn how to land a moment with impact and keep the audience hooked. Singalong Stories

PreK-K Students
Calling all singers and storytellers! Raise your voice and join the fun in this tuneful acting adventure. Each week, young performers will sing favorite songs then bring them to life through themed acting, movement, and playful performance. Whether you’re “twinkling like a little star,” “rowing your boat,” or stepping into a Broadway number, every singalong becomes a story on stage.
* For students ages 4 and up. Students must be fully potty-trained to participate in camps and classes. For the safety of all students, we have a closed classroom policy. Adults are not permitted to sit in on JT classes until our invited Open Sharing on the final day of classes or camps.
Carnival of Creatures

Grades 1-3
Step right up to a spectacular celebration of animals, imagination, and performance! Inspired by Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals, this class blends acting and movement as creatures great and small take center stage. Leap like kangaroos, glide like swans, and stomp like elephants while exploring rhythm, character, and storytelling. Each week brings a new creature to discover in this joyful parade of motion and make-believe!
Play Per Day
with Elissa Russell

Grades 7 and 8
In this fast-paced session, we’ll explore a new play each class, investigating characters, dialogue, and story in a hands-on, inventive way. As you try out these stories, you’ll gather ideas and inspiration to begin creating your very own original short plays. We’ll deconstruct, remix, and add our own twists, then bring it all to life on stage. By the end of the session, each student will have contributed to a collection of original short plays, unlocking creativity, collaboration, and the joy of storytelling along the way!
