Through vocal coaching, ensemble work, and solo performance, bring these legendary songs to life with nuance and storytelling. Session 6 JT Studio 7-12: Acts of Resistance
with Various Instructors

Ages: 12 - 18
Grades 7-12
Session 6: July 21-25
Theatre has always been a force for change. From civil rights to free speech, the stage is a battleground where voices rise, stories challenge, and movements begin. This acting intensive delves into the intersection of performance and activism, exploring how theatre ignites conversation and inspires action. Through powerful monologues, dynamic scene work, and ensemble-driven storytelling, engage with bold characters and urgent real-world issues. Perform iconic speeches and poems—like the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. or Maya Angelou—that have moved generations and shaped history. From historical protests to contemporary calls for justice, examine how performance has shaped—and continues to shape—the world around us. Because when the world is watching, the stage is more than a spotlight; it’s a call to action.
