Audition Workshop Jr.
with Shawn Foote
Calling all brave actors who are ready to get their monologues in shape! Through scene work and acting exercises students in this class will tone up their voices, bodies, minds and improv skills getting them ready to tackle any audition or play that comes their way. Led by Shawn Foote (co-director of JT's upcoming production of Matilda, and current Interim Artistic Director), students will work on audition techniques in a small group setting throughout the session and present their completed monologues on the final day of class for their “audition.”
Advanced Sewing Clinic
with Tammy Molenaar
Aspiring costume designers will refine intermediate sewing skills and tap into your own creative designing imagination! Designer and costume loft manager Tammy Molenaar will guide young artists through the steps of costume design and construction in this experiential workshop-- from fabric selection, to reading patterns, to creating your own costume piece. A great choice for teens who love to crew JT shows and want to learn more about theatrical design.
Some prior hand and machine sewing experience is required. Students who own a sewing machine are encouraged to bring their own.
