Monologue and Dialogue

Step into the world of performance and explore both solo and partnered work. Rehearse monologues and short scenes, experimenting with character, emotion, and intention. Work closely with classmates to shape realistic moments, discovering how interaction, timing, and connection bring scenes and speeches to life.

Sesame Street Spring

PreK-K Students

Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street? Channel your favorite Sesame Street friends to sing and act while exploring stories that celebrate friendship, kindness, and solving problems together. Through playful acting games and musical adventures, bring beloved characters to life while building confidence and creativity.

* For students ages 4 and up. Students must be fully potty-trained to participate in camps and classes. For the safety of all students, we have a closed classroom policy. Adults are not permitted to sit in on JT classes until our invited Open Sharing on the final day of classes or camps.

Make 'Em Laugh

Get ready to laugh, play, and discover what makes comedy come alive on stage! Master comedic timing, land punchlines, and portray over-the-top characters while experimenting with how to make an audience laugh. Through games, improvisation, and acting exercises, learn to think creatively and let your sense of humor shine!

Aide in Training

Ages 14+

This class is the first step in a training series for potential hire as a teaching aide at Junior Theatre. A mandatory prerequisite for students under 18, this class will cover policies, procedures, inclusion and safety training, as well as positive and supportive approaches for working with children. Attendance is mandatory and no conflicts will be accepted. Test on the final day is a requirement. Students must be 14 years or older to participate.

Into the Wishing Well

Make a wish, cast a spell, and find your voice! Develop basic singing skills as we learn songs from Tangled, Pocahantas, and other beloved dream-filled stories. Explore storytelling through song, connect breath and voice, and share music with confidence. Your wishes can come true in this fantastical class for anyone who has the courage to dream!

Hone your improv skills by jumping into unscripted scenes where anything can happen! Improv training provides a solid foundation in developing strong listening skills and sharp instincts. Explore character and story in real time, supporting scene partners while making confident, specific choices. Short-form games keep the energy high, while longer improvisations allow scenes to grow and evolve. Practice staying present on stage, heightening moments without forcing them, and challenging yourself to take creative risks!

Mini-Musical: The Little Mermaid

Come under the sea with JT and bring a condensed version of this beloved musical to life! Strengthen acting and singing skills as you swim through a world of magical melodies with unforgettable characters like Ariel, Flounder, and Ursula. Mini-musicals provide young performers a unique opportunity to build ensemble and performance skills and grow confidence while preparing for future productions.

Pokémon Party

Pikachu chooses YOU! Jump into the world of Pokémon and become a Trainer who creates a brand new Pokémon of your own. Through acting games and imaginative play, you’ll discover how your Pokémon moves, sounds, and shows its powers, then bring it to life for an audience. Team up with fellow Trainers to imagine new adventures, face off against Team Rocket, and save the day together. Along the way, you’ll build confidence, collaboration, and performance skills in a playful world powered by imagination. Gotta catch ’em all!
