Session 9 Acting Academy 4-6: Animal Crossing
with Various Instructors

Ever dreamt of catching rare bugs, decorating your island, or hosting the perfect Nook’s Cranny sale? Step into the charming world of Animal Crossing, where students explore the fun, friendship, and creativity of life in a bustling town! Build your performance skills as you interact with quirky villagers, solve delightful challenges, and collaborate with fellow campers in a world full of imagination and teamwork.
These camps are geared towards students who want a faster paced "rehearsal & performance" experience. Classes will primarily emphasize acting, though other theatrical elements (playwriting, movement, auditioning, etc) may be included.

Session 9 Kinderstars: Animal Planet
with Various Instructors
Rising Kindergarteners
Session 9, August 3-7, 2026
Put your best paw forward as we venture through the animal kingdom. Explore iconic scenes and songs from stories like Lion King, Zootopia, Shrek, and other beloved animal-themed tales! Sharpen your actor’s tools (and your claws!) as we portray different animal characters and design creature-themed creations.
Rising kindergarteners are welcome to join us for fun-filled days rotating through classes in drama, music, dance, and art. Whether your child is used to the spotlight or new to the stage, our summer camps have something for everyone!
This program is designed for rising Kindergarteners who will be attending Kindergarten in the fall. For all other ages, please register for Performance Camp.
***Camps run from 9am-3pm Monday-Friday unless otherwise specified. Students will be grouped by age. Students should come to camp with a sack lunch and two extra snacks. Please send students in clothes they can move in; no flip flops. Aftercare option available for $30/day until 5 PM. For the safety of all students, we have a closed classroom policy. Adults are not permitted to sit in on JT camps until our invited Open Sharing on the final day of camp.***

Session 9 Tech Camp 7-12

Session 9, August 3-7 2026
Welcome to Tech Camp! This course gives students a hands-on introduction to Technical Theatre. In this camp, we’ll get our hands dirty while learning tool safety, painting techniques, Foley sound effects, and stage management. To prepare, please come to class dressed appropriately. Wear clothes you can move around in (no baggy clothing) and that can get messy or have paint on them. You must also wear closed-toe shoes—no Crocs or slip-ons. A great choice for teens with an interest in backstage work and fully rounding out their theatrical experience!

Session 9 Aftercare Summer 2026
with Various Instructors
After care is available from 3pm–5pm for $30.00 per day, per child.
This is a flat rate regardless of how long they stay. Students will be supervised in activities that include arts & crafts, games and movies. Students will remain in the Casa del Prado building, and may be picked up at any time before 5:00pm.
We will take sign-ups on a day-to-day basis during morning drop-off.
NOTE: A supervision fee of $1.00 per minute (or a portion thereof) will be charged to you if you pick up your child after 5:00pm.
If you do not pick up your student from camp during the 2:45pm-3:15pm timeslot, your student will automatically be enrolled in aftercare.

Homeschool: Myths and Legends
with Julia Giolzetti
Grades 5+
Journey into the world of heroes, gods, and legendary creatures as you bring timeless myths to life on stage! Drawing inspiration from Greek mythology and other classic legends, explore dynamic characters, tackle exciting scenes, and discover what makes these stories endure. Through scene study, ensemble collaboration, and character-driven performance, actors will strengthen their technique while creating unforgettable theatrical moments worthy of legend.
Blackbox Theatre: Rehearsal and Performance
with Sarah Siegel
Grades 7-12
Whether you’re an experienced actor or have always wanted to get on stage, this skill-building offering is your opportunity to audition, rehearse and perform in a one-act play! Classes will be spent auditioning, rehearsing, developing characters and strengthening your acting technique. The class will culminate in a shared performance of the play for friends and family.
Please note: There will be a video audition requirement prior to the start of this class, which will determine casting. Casting decisions are at the sole discretion of the Teaching Artist. The title of the play is TBD contingent upon enrollment numbers. Since class serves as rehearsal time, enrollment in this class is a commitment to regular attendance.

Ready to think on your feet? In this fast-paced improv class, a single suggestion can become an unforgettable scene. Through theatre games and spontaneous storytelling, performers will build confidence, think creatively, and discover the fun of making it up as they go. Whether the result is hilarious, heartfelt, or completely unexpected, anything can happen!
