Behind the Scenes: Diary of a Wimpy Kid
with Isaac Vermiyle/ Gordon McLachlan
Grades 4-12
What happens 'behind the scenes' is just as important as what happens on stage! Discover the secret world of putting on a show that the audience never gets to see: experience the backstage magic of technical theater! Students will work with our professional designers and technicians to learn about the many elements of theatre that bring stories to life at JT, and the exciting opportunities that await as crew members! They'll gain hands-on experience in each of the backstage roles, and on the final day of the session will have the option to participate in painting the set for the upcoming Diary of a Wimpy Kid!

School may be out but theatre is in! Elementary students are welcome to join us for four fun-filled days rotating through classes in drama, music, dance, and a specialty subject. Whether your child is used to the spotlight or new to the stage, our Spring Break camps have something for everyone!
Dramatic Voyages

Designed to empower budding performers, this immersive experience invites students to explore the wonders of storytelling through the art of creative play. * For students ages 4 and up. Students must be fully potty-trained to participate in camps and classes. For the safety of all students, we have a closed classroom policy. Adults are not permitted to sit in on JT classes until our invited Open Sharing on the final day of classes or camps. Please note that this class will not meet on Memorial Day, 5/27.
Villain Era

Explore the complexities of some of the most nefarious characters in the musical theatre canon, unmask the power of your voice and embrace the drama! From the haunting melodies of the Phantom to the deviously enchanting tunes of Ursula, delve into the diverse repertoire of musical theatre's unforgettable antagonists. Refine vocal techniques, embrace theatrical storytelling and harness the captivating allure of Broadway's dark side. Please note that this class will not meet on Memorial Day, 5/27.
