Session 8 Performance Camp: Seuss On the Loose
with Various Instructors

Session 8, July 27-31, 2026
Come see who’s who in Whoville! Sing, dance, and play with iconic wacky characters like the Cat in the Hat, the Grinch, and the Lorax as we bring the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss to life. Sharpen your musical theatre and art skills while exploring timeless stories and songs from Whoville and beyond! Oh, the places you’ll go!
Rising 1st-8th grade students are welcome to join us for fun-filled days rotating through classes in drama, music, dance, and art. Whether your child is used to the spotlight or new to the stage, our summer camps have something for everyone!
This program is designed for rising 1st-8th graders. For rising Kindergarteners please register for Kinderstars.
***Camps run from 9am-3pm Monday-Friday unless otherwise specified. Students will be grouped by age. Students should come to camp with a sack lunch and two extra snacks. Please send students in clothes they can move in; no flip flops. Aftercare option available for $30/day until 5 PM. For the safety of all students, we have a closed classroom policy. Adults are not permitted to sit in on JT camps until our invited Open Sharing on the final day of camp.***
Session 9 Performance Camp: Animal Planet
with Various Instructors
Grades 1-8
Session 9, August 3-7, 2026
Put your best paw forward as we venture through the animal kingdom. Explore iconic scenes and songs from stories like Lion King, Zootopia, Shrek, and other beloved animal-themed tales! Sharpen your actor’s tools (and your claws!) as we portray different animal characters and design creature-themed creations.

Grades 1-3
Return to some of Pixar's most beloved worlds through dance! From Toy Story and Inside Out to Finding Nemo, Cars, Monsters, Inc., and The Incredibles, each week is inspired by a different Pixar adventure that keeps the story going. Through energetic choreography and creative movement, dancers will build coordination, rhythm, musicality, and performance skills while bringing these unforgettable stories to life.
All Aboard!
Grades 1-3
Climb aboard for an unforgettable adventure with JT! There's always somewhere new to explore as young performers travel to exciting destinations through acting, movement, and imaginative play. Work together to dream up daring expeditions, create unique characters, and turn every journey into a one-of-a-kind story while building confidence and strengthening storytelling skills.
Please note this class will not meet on 11/11.
Heroes and Dragons
Grades 1-3
Every quest needs a brave team! From magical maps and enchanted objects to dragons, riddles, and mysterious lands, young adventurers will create original stories through improvisation and scene work. Extend the adventure beyond the classroom with supervised excursions throughout Balboa Park, where each new location inspires the next chapter of the story. Young performers will also learn the basics of safe stage combat, using choreographed action to bring heroic battles and daring rescues to life.
Masterpiece Mystery
Grades 1-3
The museum is closing...or is it? When the lights go out, famous paintings, sculptures, and artists spring to life! Join the museum's newest team of detectives as they search for clues, crack codes, and stop a daring art heist before a priceless masterpiece disappears. Students will explore famous works of art, create art of their own, and use improvisation, theatre games, and storytelling to bring the mystery to life.

Grades 1-3
It's time to take center stage! Dance your way through show-stopping numbers inspired by Broadway's biggest hits while learning energetic choreography, fun dance combinations, and performance skills. Build coordination, rhythm, musicality, confidence, and stage presence while bringing the excitement of musical theatre to life.
Thanksgiving Break Camp
with Various Instructors
Grades K-6th
School may be out, but theatre is in! Elementary students are welcome to join us for four fun-filled days rotating through classes in drama, music, dance, and art. Whether your student is used to the spotlight or new to the stage, our Thanksgiving Break camp has something for everyone!
Students must be fully potty-trained to participate in camps and classes. For the safety of all students, we have a closed classroom policy. Adults are not permitted to sit in on JT clamps until our invited Open Sharing on the final day of camp.
A detailed informational letter will be sent out the week prior to camps. Students should bring a water bottle, closed-toe shoes, sack lunch, and two snacks.
