What if Cinderella had never lost her slipper, or the Big Bad Wolf had never found the Little Pigs’ houses? Combine acting and playwriting as we work together to reimagine classic fairy tales, twisting familiar stories into bold, original adventures. Through character work and collaborative storytelling, young actors explore humor, conflict, and unexpected outcomes while building confidence on stage. Celebrate JT’s spring production of Shrek the Musical as we flip “once upon a time” on its head and bring quirky, fractured fairy tales to life!

Bring the movies to the dance floor! Learn bold, cinematic choreography inspired by popular movie musicals like Singin’ in the Rain, In the Heights, The Greatest Showman, and more. Build musicality, sharpen timing, and move together as an ensemble while telling big stories through movement.

Calling all aspiring demigods and heroes, bring iconic characters from Greek mythology to life on stage! Battle monsters and unravel ancient prophecies while using your performance skills to embark on a creativity-filled quest! Step into a world of Greek gods, heroes, and legends while performing pieces that draw from ancient myths and modern stories like The Lightning Thief, Hercules, and Hadestown.
These camps are geared towards students who want a faster paced "rehearsal & performance" experience. Classes will primarily focus on singing and dancing. Auditions may be held on the first day of camp at the discretion of the Teaching Artists.

Session 1 Performance Camp: Make Waves

Session 1, June 8-12, 2026
Dive into a week 'under the sea' as we get nautical at Junior Theatre! Portray beloved characters from hit musicals like Finding Nemo, Moana, The Little Mermaid, and SpongeBob SquarePants! Sing sea shanties and perform alongside your favorite aquatic friends while making a splash onstage!
Rising 1-8th grade students are welcome to join us for fun-filled days rotating through classes in drama, music, dance, and art. Whether your child is used to the spotlight or new to the stage, our summer camps have something for everyone!
This program is designed for rising 1st-8th graders. For rising Kindergarteners please register for Kinderstars.
***Camps run from 9am-3pm Monday-Friday unless otherwise specified. Students will be grouped by age. Students should come to camp with a sack lunch and two extra snacks. Please send students in clothes they can move in; no flip flops. Aftercare option available for $30/day until 5 PM. For the safety of all students, we have a closed classroom policy. Adults are not permitted to sit in on JT camps until our invited Open Sharing on the final day of camp.***
Session 2 Musical Theatre Intensive: It Ain't Easy Being Green (4-day; no camp Fri)

Celebrate the power, personality, and unforgettable presence of musical theatre’s most iconic green characters in this high-energy intensive. Inspired by roles like The Grinch, Shrek, and Elphaba, explore bold vocal performance, expressive movement, and character-driven storytelling. Dive into songs and scenes that balance humor, heart, and strength while building triple-threat skills and confidence on stage. This intensive culminates in a dynamic showcase that highlights transformation, individuality, and the magic of bringing larger-than-life characters to life.

Magic, myth, and the mysteries of the cosmos collide in this camp filled with legendary creatures, daring heroes, and intergalactic adventures. From futuristic sci-fi to distant galaxies, explore stories– like Star Wars, Percy Jackson, The Hobbit and more– that have expanded our sense of what’s possible. Through acting, music, art, and dance, let’s transform the stage into entirely new worlds waiting to be discovered.
