Grades 7-12

Time to razzle dazzle into some new skills by learning dances from hit musicals like Chicago, Anything Goes, The Pajama Game, and more! Get those jazz hands ready and join Junior Theatre for a swingin’ session designed for new and experienced dancers alike!

Grades 4-6

Blend theatre and visual art together in this collaborative class! Create original scenes, then bring them to life by designing your own props, backdrops, and simple costume pieces. Tap into your inner designer, exploring new forms of artistic storytelling while turning your vision into reality. Share your creations with friends and family when you perform original scenes at an open sharing on the final day of class!

Grades 4-6

Dance your way into the wonderful world of Oz! Journey through the vibrant worlds of iconic musicals like The Wiz, Wicked, and The Wizard of Oz, exploring the magic of the Emerald City through movement and choreography. Develop dance skills while embodying characters like Dorothy, Elphaba, and the Scarecrow. Let your performance ease on down the road with confidence, and defy gravity through dynamic choreography.

Grades 7-12

Join some of the most iconic movers and shakers of musical theatre in this high-powered dance class! Featuring music from renowned shows like Les Misérables; Hamilton; Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812; and Anastasia, explore choreography inspired by movements of rebellion, freedom, and change. From the barricades of Les Mis to the streets of New York, “Raise a glass to freedom” as you combine storytelling, rhythm, and emotion through powerful choreography. Vive la révolution!

Grades 1-3

Waddle on over for an arctic adventure set to the playful tunes of Madagascar, Mary Poppins, and Mr. Popper’s Penguins! In this high-energy dance class, explore creative movement and rhythm inspired by everyone’s favorite penguin characters. Build coordination, confidence, and a love for dance in this supercalifragilisticexpialidocious class!

Grades PreK-K

Move and shake with Junior Theatre as we learn fun new steps to show off on the dance floor! Explore movement through rhythm and dance while building coordination and confidence. Tiny dancers of all experience levels are invited to join us to build dance vocabulary and grow coordination and confidence on the dance floor!

* For students ages 4 and up. Students must be fully potty-trained to participate in camps and classes. For the safety of all students, we have a closed classroom policy. Adults are not permitted to sit in on JT classes until our invited Open Sharing on the final day of classes or camps.

Aspiring costume designers will refine sewing skills and explore the costume loft in this unique offering. Designer and costume loft coordinator Tammy Molenaar will guide young artists through the steps of garment construction and repair in this experiential workshop. Students who own a sewing kit are encouraged to bring their own, though it is not a requirement. Please self select between this clinic and the Beginner Sewing Clinic based on expierence.
