JT Studio- Unstuck: Acting Through The Body
with Jeffrey Ingman
JT Studio- Unstuck: Acting Through the Body
Grades 7-12
Move with purpose. Perform with power.
In this active and confidence-building class, actors will learn (in a safe and fun environment) to use their whole bodies (using text and song ) to find their authentic expression as they enter a room, audition, and in performance. Instead of unmotivated or indicated movement, students will explore ways to move with purpose, freedom, and emotional connection — through time-tested exercises, playful physical exploration, and expressive movement techniques.
We’ll focus on:
• Building body awareness and confidence
• Breaking out of “static gestures” in auditions and performances
• Using impulse and psych-physical movement to bring characters, songs, and scenes fully to life
• Tapping into real feelings while keeping performance playful and theatrical
Actors will leave with greater presence, more authentic expression, and tools to feel grounded, bold, and alive in their work — whether acting, singing, or dancing.
Come ready to move, explore, and have fun discovering your most expressive self!
JT Studio programs are fast-paced, high-energy intensives designed for teens looking to elevate their performance skills. Tailored for grades 7-12, these programs offer a deep dive into performance and technique, challenging students to refine their craft in a professional-style rehearsal environment.

- Focus and Dynamics
In small and large groups we will:
- Develop short movement phrases
- Layer them with music, levels, and intentional creative choices
- Edit and revise with instructor and peer input
