Audition Workshop Jr.
with Shawn Foote

Grades: 4-6
Calling all brave actors who are ready to get their monologues in shape! Through scene work and acting exercises students in this class will tone up their voices, bodies, minds and improv skills getting them ready to tackle any audition or play that comes their way. Led by Shawn Foote (co-director of JT's upcoming production of Matilda, and current Interim Artistic Director), students will work on audition techniques in a small group setting throughout the session and present their completed monologues on the final day of class for their “audition.”

Spring Break Camp #1
with Hannah Corder

Grades K-6
School may be out but theatre is in! Elementary students are welcome to join us for five fun-filled days rotating through classes in drama, music, dance, and a specialty subject (improv, stage combat, design, etc). Whether your child is used to the spotlight or new to the stage, our Spring Break camps have something for everyone! Friends and family will be invited to an Open Sharing on the final day of camp to see a sampling of what students have learned.
Camp days are from 9 am-3 pm. A detailed informational letter will be sent out the week prior to camps. Students should bring a sack lunch and two snacks.

Pipsqueak Pals

PreK-K Students
What happens if you give a mouse a cookie? How about a plastic purple purse? Tiny actors will celebrate some of the smallest heroes in children’s literature while growing their actor’s tools (body, voice and imagination). Join friends like Stuart Little and Maisy Mouse on new adventures, and share their stories in a performance for friends and family on the final day of class!
*Students must be age 3 or older and potty-trained to participate in Pre-K classes
Create a Scene

Grades 4-6
Calling all actors with an interest in improv and a passion for playwriting! Collaborate with your classmates to invent original characters and scenarios, then bring your creations to life through improv and writing-based exercises. Perform your original scenes for friends and family on the final day of the session.
Blackbox Theatre: Rehearsal and Performance
with Sarah Siegel

Grades 7-12
Whether you’re an experienced actor or have always wanted to get on stage, this skill-building offering is your opportunity to audition, rehearse and perform in a one-act play! Classes will be spent auditioning, rehearsing, developing characters and strengthening your acting technique. The class will culminate in a shared performance of the play for friends and family.
Please note: There will be an audition requirement for this class, which will determine casting. Casting decisions are at the sole discretion of the Teaching Artist. The title of the play is TBD contingent upon enrollment numbers. Since class serves as rehearsal time, enrollment in this class is a commitment to regular attendance.
Treasure Trove Theatre

PreK-K Students
Each week, a magical treasure chest will serve as inspiration for new adventures! Using storytelling and music, students will collaborate with their teacher and classmates to embark on a creative voyage. Cultivate your actor’s tools (body, voice and imagination) to unlock hidden treasures with Junior Theatre!
*Students must be age 3 or older and potty-trained to participate in Pre-K classes
