All actors are invited to join us in exploring dynamic narratives crafted by trailblazing women playwrights, unlocking the depth, diversity and authenticity of their stories. Celebrate some of the voices who have redefined the landscape of contemporary theatre: Sarah Ruhl, Suzan-Lori Parks, Annie Baker and many more. Refine acting skills through focused scene study and monologue work, while critically engaging with the social, cultural and political themes interwoven into these plays.

* For students ages 4 and up. Students must be fully potty-trained to participate in camps and classes. For the safety of all students, we have a closed classroom policy. Adults are not permitted to sit in on JT classes until our invited Open Sharing on the final day of classes or camps.
Graphic Novels On Stage

Bring zany characters from your favorite graphic novels from page to stage in this acting and character-focused class! Take your acting skills to the next level by performing scenes inspired by characters from popular graphic novels like Dog Man, Captain Underpants, Baby-Sitter’s Club, Dork Diaries and more.

From brave knights and noble princesses to mischievous fairies and cunning villains, bring timeless fairy tale characters to life while honing performance skills. Join us for an unforgettable adventure where every tale begins with "once upon a time" and ends with a standing ovation!

Power up your performance skills as we take a warp pipe into a realm of creativity, teamwork and pure magic. It's-a time to level up your performance skills in the ultimate Mario experience!
Session 7 Acting Academy 4-6: Playwriting to Performance

Session 7: July 29-August 2
Put pen to page and present your original stories on stage! Collaborate with your Teaching Artist and classmates to write and perform in an original play. Through collaborative brainstorming and writing sessions and rehearsals, delve into the exciting process of creating characters, developing plots and crafting dialogue. Harness your storytelling skills and perform your group’s one-of-a-kind creation for an audience on the final day of camp.
