School may be out, but theatre is in! Elementary students are welcome to join us for four fun-filled days rotating through classes in drama, music, dance, and art. Whether your student is used to the spotlight or new to the stage, our Thanksgiving Break camp has something for everyone!

Students must be fully potty-trained to participate in camps and classes. For the safety of all students, we have a closed classroom policy. Adults are not permitted to sit in on JT clamps until our invited Open Sharing on the final day of camp. 

A detailed informational letter will be sent out the week prior to camps. Students should bring a water bottle, closed-toe shoes, sack lunch, and two snacks.

Grades K-6

9:00 AM–3:00 PM, 3-day camp

K–6th grade students are invited to join us for three days of Grinch-themed fun as they rotate through acting, music, dance, and art. Explore the world of Who-ville, create mischievous characters, learn festive songs and dances, and let your creativity grow three sizes bigger! Whether your student is a seasoned performer or brand new to the stage, this camp is a festive way to spend winter break with plenty of Grinchy fun!

Students must be potty confident to participate in camps and classes. For the safety of all students, we have a closed classroom policy. Adults are not permitted to sit in on JT camps.

Grades 7–12 | Acting/Production

AUDITION REGISTRATION – NO FEE TO AUDITION

Register here to audition for JT Studio's production of The Diary of Anne Frank (One-Act Version). All students must also complete the audition form to be considered for casting.

Directed by Ira Bauer-Spector, this audition-based class will bring the powerful one-act adaptation of Anne Frank's story to life. Through the rehearsal process, actors will explore character and historical context while strengthening their skills in dramatic acting and ensemble work. Students will gain hands-on experience in a theatrical production, culminating in two public performances in one of JT's classroom spaces. Select costume, prop, scenic, and technical elements will enhance the production while keeping the focus on the actors, ensemble, and story.

Auditions: Virtual auditions with in-person callbacks Tuesday, January 5, from 5–7 PM.

Rehearsals: 7:00–9:00 PM

Mondays: January 11 & 25; February 1, 8 & 22; March 1 & 8

Tuesdays: January 19; February 9, 16 & 23; March 9

Tech: March 15–16, 6–9 PM

Performances: Wednesday, March 17 & Thursday, March 18 at 7:00 PM

Tuition if Cast: $500

Enrollment in this program is by audition. Registering for an audition does not guarantee casting. Students should be available for all listed rehearsals, tech rehearsals, and performances.

Please note that this program does NOT fulfill the audition requirement for JT's productions of Holes or Junie B. Jones. However, students may participate in both.

PreK-Kinder

Join Bluey, Bingo, and friends for imaginative adventures! Through storytelling, theatre games, and creative play, young actors will use their bodies, voices, and imaginations to bring favorite characters and stories to life. Share the fun with friends and family on the final day of class!

* For students ages 4 and up. Students must be potty confident to participate in camps and classes. For the safety of all students, we have a closed classroom policy. Adults are not permitted to sit in on JT classes until our invited Open Sharing on the final day of classes or camps.

Grades 1-3

Celebrate JT’s upcoming production of Junie B.’s Essential Survival Guide to School Jr. with everyone’s favorite outspoken first grader! Inspired by the hit Junie B. Jones stories, young actors will explore foundational acting skills through hilarious characters and school-day adventures. Using their actor’s tools of body, voice, and imagination, students will build confidence, develop characters, and bring Junie B.’s world to life through acting and creative play.

Grades 4-6

Grab your wand and get ready for a magical adventure! Create your own witch or wizard and bring an enchanted world to life through performance and hands-on art projects. Design magical props, creatures, and more, then use your creations to inspire original characters and scenes. Expect plenty of mystery, magic, and mayhem along the way!

Grades 5+

Think fast, get creative, and make a scene! Explore the fundamentals of improvisation through theatre games, character work, and spontaneous storytelling. Build confidence, collaboration, and quick-thinking skills as you turn improvised ideas into original scenes with your classmates.

Grades 7-12

What does it take to bring a scene to life? Explore both sides of the rehearsal process in this hands-on class focused on acting and directing! Through scene work, character development, and collaboration, you'll learn how actors and directors work together to tell a story. Take turns performing, directing your classmates, and experimenting with different interpretations of a scene. Build your confidence, strengthen your acting skills, and discover what it takes to bring a director's vision to the stage!
