Session 4 JT Studio 7-12: Audition Clinic

Session 4, June 29- July 3 2026 (4-day camp)

Step into the room with confidence in this teen audition clinic designed to sharpen skills and calm nerves. Each day zeroes in on the different elements of acing any audition: selecting and cutting material, vocal technique and cold reads, movement calls, monologues, and callback strategies. Work on presence, making strong first impressions, taking direction in the moment, and handling the unexpected with professionalism and poise. Through mock auditions and personalized feedback, refine technique, build resilience, and leave with a toolkit that makes every audition feel like an opportunity rather than an obstacle.

JT studio is an intensive program geared towards students who want a faster paced "rehearsal & performance" experience. Classes will primarily focus on singing and acting. Auditions may be held on the first day of camp at the discretion of the Teaching Artist(s). 

***Students should come to camp with a sack lunch and two extra snacks. Please send students in clothes they can move in; no flip flops. For the safety of all students, we have a closed classroom policy. Adults are not permitted to sit in on JT camps until our invited Open Sharing on the final day of camp.***

Session 5 Acting Academy 7-12: Directing Intensive

"What even IS directing," you're asking yourself. In this camp, we set out to answer that question as we focus on the various facets of directing a show. From script analysis, to staging and blocking, to collaborating with actors and designers, we'll untangle the many duties that a director is tasked with. In this process-oriented workshop, students will serve as both actors and directors to help bring each other's visions to life.

These camps are geared towards students who want a faster paced "rehearsal & performance" experience. Classes will primarily emphasize acting, though other theatrical elements (playwriting, movement, auditioning, etc) may be included.

Session 6 Musical Theatre Intensive 7-12: Pride Camp

Celebrate identity, community, and fearless self-expression in this Pride-themed musical theatre intensive! Inspired by iconic shows like The Prom, RENT, and Kinky Boots, and the groundbreaking shows and artists who have shaped the legacy of musical theatre, this camp explores songs and scenes that honor authenticity, resilience, and belonging. Focus on storytelling through song, building stage presence, and connecting deeply with the material and each other. Collaboration and creativity take center stage in a supportive environment where every voice matters.

These camps are geared towards students who want a faster paced "rehearsal & performance" experience. Classes will primarily focus on singing and dancing. Auditions may be held on the first day of camp at the discretion of the Teaching Artists.

Session 7 Acting Academy 7-12: Shakespeare After Dark

Explore eerie, magical, and dangerous nighttime moments from the plays of William Shakespeare– where ghosts walk, witches whisper prophecies, and secrets unfold under cover of darkness. Build atmosphere and sharpen instincts as we dive into thrilling scenes filled with ambition, betrayal, enchantment, and suspense, from moonlit forests to haunted castles.Through scene work, dramaturgy, and exploration of heightened language, discover how to bring Shakespeare’s most mysterious characters to life. When the sun sets, the truth comes out. 

These camps are geared towards students who want a faster paced "rehearsal & performance" experience. Classes will primarily emphasize acting, though other theatrical elements (playwriting, movement, auditioning, etc) may be included.

Come hear the music play! This cabaret-style camp is designed for performers looking to take center stage and own the spotlight. Strengthen vocal technique and deepen storytelling skills while refining stage presence, musical interpretation, and the art of connecting with a live audience. Explore repertoire across genres, collaborate on duets and group numbers, and shape a performance that feels bold, polished, and uniquely yours.

This camp week culminates in a concert-style showcase. Whether delivering a powerhouse ballad or blending in tight harmony, this is your moment to shine!

Welcome to Tech Camp! This course gives students a hands-on introduction to Technical Theatre. In this camp, we’ll get our hands dirty while learning tool safety, painting techniques, Foley sound effects, and stage management. To prepare, please come to class dressed appropriately. Wear clothes you can move around in (no baggy clothing) and that can get messy or have paint on them. You must also wear closed-toe shoes—no Crocs or slip-ons. A great choice for teens with an interest in backstage work and fully rounding out their theatrical experience!
