Session 8 Acting Academy 4-6: Page to Stage
with Various Instructors
Grades 4-6
Session 8, July 27-31, 2026
Put pen to page and present your original stories on stage! Collaborate with your Teaching Artist and classmates to write and perform in an original play. Through brainstorming and writing sessions and rehearsals, delve into the exciting process of creating characters, developing plots and crafting dialogue. Harness your storytelling skills and perform your group’s one-of-a-kind creation for an audience on the final day of camp.
These camps are geared towards students who want a faster paced "rehearsal & performance" experience. Classes will primarily emphasize acting, though other theatrical elements (playwriting, movement, auditioning, etc) may be included.
Session 9 Tech Camp 7-12
with Various Instructors
Grades 7-12
Session 9, August 3-7 2026
Welcome to Tech Camp! This course gives students a hands-on introduction to Technical Theatre. In this camp, we’ll get our hands dirty while learning tool safety, painting techniques, Foley sound effects, and stage management. To prepare, please come to class dressed appropriately. Wear clothes you can move around in (no baggy clothing) and that can get messy or have paint on them. You must also wear closed-toe shoes—no Crocs or slip-ons. A great choice for teens with an interest in backstage work and fully rounding out their theatrical experience!
***Students should come to camp with a sack lunch and two extra snacks. For the safety of all students, we have a closed classroom policy. Adults are not permitted to sit in on JT camps until our invited Open Sharing on the final day of camp.***
