Who doesn’t love a show-stopping number? Study some of Broadway's biggest hits while honing your vocal technique. Learn the correct way to belt a song, or how to sing as some of the most memorable musical theatre characters. Singers will present their showstoppers during the final class.

Pairing songs and scenes together, this class gives students the opportunity to delve further into a variety of shows and characters. Learn the context of popular musical theatre numbers by incorporating the scenes that lead into songs. A great choice for students who are interested in developing their musical theatre skills.
75 Years of Song

Sing out and celebrate 75 years of Junior Theatre! Students interested in auditioning for musicals will learn how to work with an accompanist, and refine basic singing techniques like breath control, pitch matching and beginning music theory. Explore music from JT’s 75th season, which includes How I Became a Pirate, Matilda, Cinderella and more!
Magical Mythical Creatures
Unicorns, dragons and mermaids– oh my! Spend the session exploring magical characters and stories from around the world. From wizards, to kings and queens, to folk heroes, students will have the chance to portray larger-than-life characters from popular shows and literature.
Audition Workshop Sr.

Calling all brave actors who are ready to get their monologues in shape! Through scene work and acting exercises students in this class will tone up their voices, bodies, minds and improv skills getting them ready to tackle any audition or play that comes their way. Students will work on audition techniques in a small group setting throughout the session and present their completed monologues on the final day of class for their “audition.”
Grades: Pre-K - K
Travel to the Land before Time and develop performance skills as we explore stories featuring dinosaurs! Using the actor’s tools (voice, body and imagination), students will collaborate to create plays and become many different Dino characters. Open Sharing on the last day of class will give friends and family the opportunity to witness these wild and wacky creatures!
Sing Me a Story

Explore the magic of storytelling through song! Students interested in music will study basic singing techniques while learning songs that accompany well-loved stories from film and literature. Find your voice and join JT on a musical adventure!
