Designed to empower budding performers, this immersive experience invites students to explore the wonders of storytelling through the art of creative play. Gain confidence on stage, foster social skills and set sail on new adventures each week. Let the journey begin!

* For students ages 4 and up. Students must be fully potty-trained to participate in camps and classes. For the safety of all students, we have a closed classroom policy. Adults are not permitted to sit in on JT classes until our invited Open Sharing on the final day of classes or camps. Please note that this class will not meet on Memorial Day, 5/27.

Would you bring Knuffle Bunny to Balboa Park? Would you let the pigeon act in a play, or become friends with Elephant and Piggy? Explore the ABC’s of acting, self-expression and creativity through the stories of Mo Willems! Young actors will learn performance fundamentals and ignite their imaginations to bring these popular tales to life through dramatic play. Share your new storytelling skills with friends and family on the final day of class!

Combine creativity with kindness and bring Jory John’s popular book series to life! Embark on adventures with the Good Egg, the Bad Seed, the Cool Bean and friends, learning fundamental acting skills along the way. Reinforce the importance of empathy and the power of friendship in this class that seamlessly weaves important life lessons together with dramatic play.

It’s a dance party and you’re invited! In this introductory class, young dancers will embrace the magic of movement, enjoying creative activities that explore shape, tempo and rhythm. Build your basic dance vocabulary and express yourself while growing coordination and confidence.

Session 1: June 10-14

Inspired by beloved fairy tales, this enchanting week will explore the realms of imagination. From brave knights and noble princesses to mischievous fairies and cunning villains, bring timeless fairy tale characters to life while honing performance skills. Join us for an unforgettable adventure where every tale begins with "once upon a time" and ends with a standing ovation!

Session 2: June 17-21 (No camp on 6/19)

School's out, but the stage is set for a week of creativity and fun at Junior Theatre! Gather your school pals and study popular stories like Matilda, The Prom, High School Musical, School of Rock and many more. Act, sing and dance your way to the top of the class!

Dive into a week 'under the sea' with Junior Theatre! Portray beloved characters from hit musicals like Finding Nemo, The Little Mermaid and SpongeBob SquarePants! Sing, dance and act alongside your favorite aquatic friends and make a splash onstage!

Session 4: July 8-12

Channel your team spirit and leave it all on the stage as we celebrate the camaraderie of sports! Condition your actor’s tools (body, voice and imagination) while collaborating with your teammates to sing, dance, and act out sports-inspired stories. Your next performance is guaranteed to be a home run!
